Request data deletionarrow_right_altSet up get-off alerts
MRT Go uses live location to power get-off alerts. Foreground alerts need location access while the app is open; background alerts need location access that keeps working when the app isn't on screen. Here's how to set it up on each platform.
phone_iphone
iPhone (iOS)
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Scroll to MRT Go and open it.
- Tap Location.
- Choose While Using the App for foreground get-off alerts.
- Choose Always if you want alerts to continue while MRT Go is in the background.
- Turn Precise Location on so station-distance checks are accurate.
- Go back to MRT Go's settings, tap Notifications, and turn Allow Notifications on.
- Enable sounds and alerts so “Prepare to alight” and “Get off now” reminders are visible.
android
Android
- Open Settings on your Android phone.
- Open Apps, then choose MRT Go.
- Tap Permissions, then Location.
- Choose Allow only while using the app for foreground alerts.
- Choose Allow all the time if your device offers it and you want background alerts.
- Return to MRT Go's app settings and open Notifications.
- Allow notifications. Android 13 and newer require this for visible tracking and get-off alerts.
- If your device limits background apps, set battery usage for MRT Go to Unrestricted or Not optimized.
